Let me explain the picture above. What you’re looking at is the final scene of an animation that I created. The old, bent tree represents Adam. He began in the light and in fellowship with God, but unfortunately, he listened to another voice, which bent him toward unbelief. He was unable to bring himself back into alignment with the light. From that point on, humanity’s family tree continued to grow in unbelief and out of fellowship with the light. The result was poor, sickly fruit. Then one day, another tree began to grow. A healthy tree growing in the light. A gardener began pruning branches from the old tree and grafting them into the new tree. As those branches were grafted in, they began to grow and produce healthy fruit. Just to clear it up, the new tree represents Christ, and we are the branches as in John 15:5. And the light represents the presence of God.
